Biornacle'duck the Nauseating Pollutiovore

Bio:

Biornacle'duck is a gigantic geoduck-like Demon God. Hailing originally from a primarily mountainous wetland planet abundant in fens and lochs, she is one of the more moderately known enigmatic Demon Gods of the far off distant past. A really grotesque eldritch abomination to say for sure, she apparently had one of the strangest m.o.s among demonic beings like her. That being was eating pollution as in the typical kind caused by mortals and harmful to the environment at the base natural level. It's really a strange if not outright gross m.o. for a demonic deity and was considered even as such back in an age where eldritch beings like her were a whole lot more common. It's even more so when further details surrounding this habit are delved deeper.

In the far off distant past, Biornacle'duck would travel from planet to planet looking for heavily polluted environments, usually ones polluted to an extent that they're practically irreparable by mortal natural means. Upon locating such a place, she'd then proceed to vomit an ooze-like substance all over the polluted area, spewing and hacking the phlegm-like ooze up until more than sufficient coverage was achieved. Once enough of her puke had been expelled to cover the heavily polluted environment, she'd then proceed to lap back up the ooze that she had just regurgitated. As she did so, the ooze that she sucked back up would also carry back with it pollutants that it had covered for her to consume. In essence, her disgusting feeding habit was something akin to that of a fly's except with pollutants instead of nutrients and only pollutants apparently. Through a poorly understood process that's most likely demonic in origin, the ooze apparently only drew in pollutants, or at least what constituted as pollutants in any given area, and left everything else seemingly unaffected and intact. Furthermore, whatever ooze she wasn't able to lap back up slowly dissolved completely any remaining pollutant left behind as it evaporated over time. Thus whatever polluted environment she feasted on was left practically sanitized and restored to an unpolluted state. As such regardless of her disgusting nature, it appeared to many that Biornacle'duck was like some sort of immortal benevolent decomposer, cleaning up the damage and refuse caused by irresponsible mortals. However like everything else Demon God related, there was more to this gross yet seemingly benign entity than just supposed benevolence.

While it's true that what Biornacle'duck did to polluted areas would naturally paint her in the eyes of many as a benign environment cleansing deity of sorts, certain interpretations of the earliest surviving records about her however suggest that her original motivation for her pollution eating habits may have merely been just to feed on stuff she as a demonic being personally found tasty and that environments becoming unpolluted was just an unintended side effect. Even so, it seemed that in later times she apparently decided to adopt this pro-environmental image others had of her more herself, or at least possibly decided to exploit it as a means to achieve what true goals she may have actually had. Thus naturally a Demon God cult revering her based on this idea sprung up though its mortal members themselves stressed that they weren't especially during the first few centuries after it was established. In design and structure, this so called mortal movement was more like a decentralized and disjointed group of likeminded pro-environment individuals who preached the Biornacle'duck's supposed environmental benignity but not necessarily outright worship her completely, at least at first. Initially, these activists were merely satisfied with simply spreading the word and occasionally holding a peaceful demonstration or two. However as time and generations passed, the group became increasingly radicalized with their protests also becoming more heated and violent to a point of being terrorist-like. The group as a whole became more indicative of a Demon God cult especially after many of its members decided to settle on the lands cleansed by Biornacle'duck in the deluded hope of becoming one with nature and such. They became even more so when Biornacle'duck seemingly decided to be a more guiding presence to them albeit one that was still mostly hidden and hands off, a tactic commonly favored by more enigmatic Demon Gods like her.

As one of the more enigmatic Demon Gods of the far off distant past, Biornacle'duck's true actual character was in reality quite a mystery. Even with what reputation she had, whether it was being a really disgusting slobbering Demon God as perceived by most or a supposed environment cleansing deity as perceived by her cult, very few if not none at all truly knew what she was really actually about or even what her actual motives were. While this air of mystery has confounded many over the ages, it does explain a bit how members of her cult could easily ignore the very fact that they were in actuality revering an eldritch abomination, an especially gross slimy one in fact that was still fundamentally disgusting no matter how much pollution she supposedly cleaned up. Indeed when certain aspects of a being like Biornacle'duck are unclear and shrouded in mystery enough, it's quite easy for people, mortals in particular, to interpret what they want and completely ignore certain obvious details as well as particular terrifying truths common to all demonic deities. Regardless however, most of what little could be said of her character comes from accounts made by her cultists. It's highly suspect and unreliable info but it's all there is, or at least all there is that has survived the primordial war and the ages.

According to accounts by those among Biornacle'duck's cultists who apparently were somehow able to be more familiar with the character of the eldritch abomination they revered, she was way more methodical than she seemed on the surface. Despite seeming to be just a disgusting drooling monstrosity that splurted out practically everywhere, she was an incredibly meticulous creature, often taking care of every little detail whether it was her movements or her pollution eating habits. Most of the cultists that knew this attributed this behavior of hers to being akin to that of a very diligent and careful environmentalist. The less "faithful" among them though attributed it to being more akin to that of a cleanliness obsessed freak. Either way, she was extremely thorough in whatever she did to an almost machine-like degree. It was like she was driven to follow some mysterious schedule or pattern of sorts the likes of which her cultists could barely fathom or imagine in their wildest dreams. However while her cultists had equated all this in terms related to their environmentalist ideals, others though interpreted it differently. The few non-cultists who chose to believe some amount of what the accounts Biornacle'duck's cultists had of her saw things differently especially in regards to the apparent true effects her pollution eating had on the environments she supposedly cleansed.

From a normal mortal's perspective, the polluted environments that Biornacle'duck feasted on appeared to have been simply cleansed and restored to their former unpolluted state via the ooze she used. However from the perspective of those capable of seeing clearly the delicate fabric and workings of the universe, things weren't as clean-cut as they seemed to be. According to investigations made by higher immortals and the like, the polluted areas that Biornacle'duck feasted on may have looked restored physically but metaphysically, they appeared to have been severely damaged. The astral barriers between the planes surrounding such areas appeared to have been greatly weakened in many while in others they appeared to have been completely destroyed altogether. As a result of this transdimensional damage, more spectral based forces were able to seep into the physical plane of these areas without much astral hindrance. Rage inducing spirits and demons in particular were among the forces to had crossed and settled into these areas with the more heavily damaged places being oversaturated with such entities. Although such things pointed to being caused deliberately by Biornacle'duck herself, especially since the spirits partly explained how her cultists became so violent, it wasn't exactly clear if these were intentionally done or byproducts of her pollution eating. As a matter of fact, due to its process being poorly understood and Biornacle'duck apparently leaving no evidence, it was hard even for gods and the like to pin these atrocities directly on her. Nevertheless, there was still a strong correlation even if it couldn't be outright proven and thus she was still considered somewhat of a threat. Furthermore, if the so called accounts of her character are to be believed, she may have been much more sinister than initially thought.

While there was no decisive evidence or explanation to directly pin Biornacle'duck as the cause of the weakened astral barriers in the areas she had feasted on, the accounts about her character as unreliable as they may be had got some thinking on what exactly she may have been actually doing. It's in fact a strong theory that persists even to this day. According to the accounts, Biornacle'duck was a very meticulous Demon God who took care of every little detail especially in regards to her feedings, almost as if she was following some sort of plan or something. She apparently took note and planned which polluted areas on what planet to feast on rather than just randomly scour the universe back then for her next meal. Furthermore it also seemed that after every meal, she apparently made sure to lap back most if not all of the revolting slimy mess she had made. Although this could be taken as either cleaning after herself or scrubbing all evidence of her involvement, some have taken it as being something else as well. With the way she apparently did this in such a manner, it was almost as if she was doing so to produce the most optimum results for habitation. In other words, it was as if she was doing so to produce the most habitable areas for mortals and if the weakened astral barriers are really connected to her, for more spectral beings apparently as well. This has lead to some theorizing that what she was actually doing was some form of terraforming of sorts. To what exact end she was terraforming for is unknown however, it may have to do with the fact that most of the areas affected by her bear similar readings to that of demon infested Hell Realms. Regardless of whether all this was true or not though, due to there being no conclusive evidence, Biornacle'duck remained relatively unhindered for many millennia. That was until the Titanomachy happened.

When the primordial war happened, Biornacle'duck was forced by powers greater than her to stop feasting on pollution and instead use her powers to destroy everything that she possibly could. Upon being coerced to doing so, she showed a side of hers that could be said to be her true self. Most likely out of fear of the terror that had forced her and others to go on a rampage, she became an extremely volatile beast that violently splurted her oozy juices out of not only her main siphon-like mouth but also out of every possible orifice of her body, from her pores to the corners of her eyes. It was an audaciously nauseating sight that resembled a bloated vein covered pus leaking pimple ready to burst as she pulsated in and out with every pump and squirt of her ooze from every which where. She was such a disgusting sight in fact that most that saw her literally puked their entire guts out along with whatever else was contained within their fleshy physical bodies. Those who died from violently vomiting their innards out, such as normal mortals, were fortunate since those who didn't continued watching Biornacle'duck's sickening display fully conscious, unable to scream or more importantly, vomit more in response. And as if that wasn't enough, the ooze that she was hawking out from every orifice during the Titanomachy was unlike the kind she "normally" produced. The stuff she produced during the primordial war apparently contained pollutants she ate over the millennia, concentrated into a deadly chemical mix destructive to everything it touched on an unprecedented biological level. With the way she haphazardly spread this substance around everywhere she went and not lap back up as she normally did prior to the war, comparing her to akin a biological weapon during the Titanomachy would've been an understatement. She was truly an ugly nauseating monster of destruction during the war the likes of which not even her own horrified cult could deny.

In the end, Demon Gods like Biornacle'duck were fortunately defeated but at great cost. Unfortunately however, it's a bit unclear what happened to her exactly after the Titanomachy ended. It's widely accepted that she was imprisoned like the rest of her demon kin but there are some that have doubts. One of the more popular theories is that she escaped from being captured by using her ooze to tear, or rather dissolve, the astral barriers around her and flee temporarily into another dimensional plane. It's then been further speculated that she has since then gone into hiding and has been working secretly behind the scenes with other remaining Demon Gods similar to her to further her own plans. She has been tied to Demon Gods such as Xin'zaughtz Foiltherium and even Koruptipus in this regard however, there's no real evidence backing this speculation up other than wild conjecture. It's also been speculated that she's been receiving help from those of her cult that were able to survive and remain loyal after the Titanomachy. It's very unlikely though as following the end of the primordial war, most of those of her cult that were able to somehow survive either completely abandoned their entire worship of her or fell into a deep despair worse than death. As intriguing as these theories about Biornacle'duck after the war are however, they all pale in comparison to a particularly inciteful one in which she didn't escape from imprisonment but ended up in a far more controversial situation.

The controversial post-Titanomachy theory about Biornacle'duck goes that rather than just simply imprisoning her along with her demon kin, the gods instead hooked her up to a device or something to extract and collect her ooze, pumping her of the stuff like some overgrown udder. The theory further states that the gods apparently did so because they realized the restorative properties of her ooze, a substance that would most certainly be more than needed in the aftermath of the Titanomachy. Since much of the universe was left in ruins after the war of which much could be considered as pollution, the theory states the gods figured that using her ooze even in small quantities would greatly help the restoration efforts. They thus supposedly secretly harvested and used the substance throughout the universe despite the risk that using the stuff could weaken astral barriers as per what's been speculated regarding Biornacle'duck. The theory even goes further to speculate that due to the size of the universe, the gods are still using the ooze even to this very day in spite of the possible dangers involved. This theory as controversial as it is, has no real basis to it since in truth the gods and the like are not just simply concerned with the restoration of the universe on a physical level. They're also concerned with universal restoration on a metaphysical level as well. Despite what can be observed by regular mortal means, the universe after the Titanomachy is far more damaged than it seems so using a Demon God substance like Biornacle'duck's ooze would not only be taboo but also detrimental in the long run. Furthermore, it's more likely the theory was concocted by either a mortal blasphemer who didn't fully comprehend the full scope and workings of the universe, or some being or another that intended to smear the god's divine credibility. Even so, despite the theory being completely farfetched, it's not beyond possibility that the gods would go to extreme lengths and do something similar in nature to this especially more so in a post-Titanomachy universe wherein at times some really extreme measures have to be taken to keep a fragile already damaged universe stable, even at the cost of some mortal lives.

Notes:

Her primary inspiration is based on a Geoduck, a type of clam with a rather large, long, and very distinct looking siphon. The geoduck inspiration also makes part of her name and explains why it has the word "duck" in it despite her absolutely not resembling an actual duck in any form or manner.
Her shell and tail are inspired by those of a Glyptodon's.
Her "arms" are based on Mexican Mole Lizards.
The large eye on her side, of which there is also one on the other side, is based off that of a Cuttlefish's. A somewhat more clearer cuttlefish connection could also be made when her cuttlefish eye is seen in conjunction with her tentacles up front. Of special note, the tentacles themselves aren't based directly off a cuttlefish's, just things I simply added without much thought early in the creation process when I came up with this eldritch abomination's design.
Her rear fin, which like her eye has a counterpart as well on the other side, is based on a Mudskipper's pectoral fins, part of the things that allow said fish to walk on land. Similar to the cuttlefish connection, a somewhat more clearer mudskipper connection could also be made when her fin is seen in conjunction with her belly and tail. Even her cuttlefish eye can lend itself a bit to this image despite the fact that mudskipper eyes are really different from those of a cuttlefish. Of special note, I originally gave her a mudskipper tail in one form or another in some of her early concept designs, most notably the ones where I hadn't chosen yet to incorporate glyptodon body parts. I however chose instead to go along with a glyptodon tail in the end.
The thing on the back of her shell is loosely based on a typical barnacle. The barnacle connection also makes another part of her name. Meanwhile, the heads coming out of her barnacle, which are replacing what would typically be barnacle appendages known as cirri, are very loosely based on Alpacas. Their eyes are based on those of a Dragonfly's.
The cult that worships her is obviously based on eco-terrorists as well as extremely radicalized activists in general. They're very broadly based on radical activists in general who may have genuine good intentions but have become just as bad as the issues they're opposing if not worst due to the extreme methods they use for their otherwise altruistic causes.
On a related note, her cult would be what one would call "lazy environmentalists" or something along those lines. They advocate and care for nature deeply however, instead of actually cleaning up pollution and recycling, they'd rather sit back and depend on some force they don't fully understand to erase pollution out of sight and mind. Also instead of putting their efforts to making actual change, they would rather complain and be violent towards others. They would be like if the Planeteers from the Captain Planet cartoon depended solely on the titular superhero to clean pollution, including the pollution not caused by eco-villains, while they either sat back or be jerks to others rather than trying to fix things themselves first before summoning the captain as a last resort. Basically, all lip service and no effort other than agitation.
On another related note, while part of her cult's radicalization can be explained by evil spirits possessing and making them aggressive when they decided to live in the areas that she had cleansed, that's only part of the problem. Creatures like these only enter people if they're given an opening in the first place. Basically, it's the typical "if a person entertains and lingers on evil thoughts too much, evil spirits are more likely to possess them" situation. These types of demons only help fester thoughts of anger that are already there, not necessarily create them outright themselves. As long as their host allows such thoughts to persist rather than pursue inner peace, these beings will stay to feed on and help bring out more their host's dark violent side.
In overall concept if her pollution cleansing is to be believed, she would be the opposite of a polluting Demon God like Tryleucudillo. Basically, two sides of the same coin.
