Malakh

Malakhim are the most common type of Angel known to most races. They are so common that they are considered the iconic image when people think about Angels. In fact, some people even believe that they are the only type of Angel that exists due to that accounts of other Angel types being fewer and rarer. In reality, Malakhim are only but one type of Angel.

In the classification of Angels, Malakhim belong to the Third Sphere and are considered some of the lowest in rank when compared to other Angel types. Their duty mainly compromises of preaching messages that promote peace and purity to the various other races. They often deliver their messages to exceptionally devout believers, high priests, and other such individuals. They advocate the good word and spread it as far as they capable of.

In number, Malakhim are practically the most numerous of all Angel types which accounts why they are the most commonly known type of Angel. Why is this is so is mostly because of how they are created. The vast majority of Malakhim are actually reincarnated mortals whose firm beliefs of holiness allowed them to ascend to a higher plane after death in order to spread the word. Because the influence Angels have is rather widespread, they are a lot of such mortals hence why there are a lot of Malakhim. While it is a general guarantee that a mortal may become a Malakhim if they hold firmly their peaceful beliefs till the end, individuals who take a step further, such as seeking enlightenment or sacrificing themselves heroically, will be reincarnated instead into one of the other Angels types that originally start out as mortals.

Despite their good intentions and such, Malakhim are not without their flaws. Most notably, they are incapable of fighting in any sort of form. They don't have the skills or physical attributes to allow them to fight. Even if they did, their beliefs prevent them from fighting even when there is no other choice. Aside from flight and the occasional choir accompanied appearance, they don't have any other power. Additionally, many Malakhim also often tend to be the most naive of individuals. There have been many instances where certain evil doers were able to trick a Malakh into doing something nasty by preying on their peaceful nature. Because of such flaws, Malakhim are generally considered as one of the weakest types of Angels, if not the weakest. Though they have such flaws, they however are rather tenacious because they honestly believe they are doing something good and worthwhile no matter how much they fail. As sappy as it may sound to some, they are in fact doing something good and worthwhile especially in certain situations where all hope is lost.

Because of the commonality of the Malakhim, many believe that the other Angel types are completely similar in nature. Thus in order to deal with the other types in any sort of transaction, they believe they should use the same tactics one would use with a Malakh. This is wrong especially if said transaction is filled with malicious intent. While Angels generally share the same profound goal they strive for, they do not necessarily share the same attitude. There are some who are more peaceful than the Malakhim, and there are some who are, as one would sugarly say, "less peaceful" than the Malakhim. There have been many instances where certain evil doers have been been incinerated or worse, thinking they could trick another type of Angel using the same con they used to trick a Malakh.
